Walking and Chewing Gum

They take the mundane
And breathe into it 
Wonder and amazement.
This is how these siblings make their way.
But what is not so clear,
Beyond the curtain and behind the breath
 
Are a Mom and a Dad
Who once flew away with the show.
And today their hearts beat 
As they beat in the days 
When the "ohs!" and the "ahs!"
And the eyes were on them.
