Edition of 100

The aspiring entertainer

Spent his days practicing the circus,

His nights waiting the tables of his practice audience.

He dazzled the wine and enriched the bread

All for the extra change we left.

What grace this waiter shows,

Performing the impossible,

Transformed by the power of spot lights.

His muscles, the intention in his eyes,

And the pedestal of his fingers,

All lead us to the wine of inspiration

He brings for our enjoyment.

Again for the tip we leave

With the sound of our hands.
